Trang 2General Principle
Trang 3 Support importing RVT files from Revit 2013~2020
Supported Format: *.rvt
Supported Version
Trang 4* The levels in both black and blue
will be imported into TIO.
Trang 5Floor Structure
If a project is consisting
of multiple RVT files, or
a RVT file is linked with
multiple RVT files, the
RVT files of the same
project must be
consistent in terms of
number of floors, floor
height and bottom
elevation of each floor
Trang 7Base Point Elevation
It is recommended to
enter 0 for the value for
Elev in Revit If not, the
display of floor height
will be influenced after
import For example,
enter 112mm for Elev,
and then the actual
bottom elevation will be
the elevation displayed
Trang 8 In RVT, the entities are
named in the format
of Family: Type After
importing into TIO, the
name format is Family:
Type by default
If there are special
requirements for
naming, you can enter
name values in Mark.
When importing them
into TIO, you can use
Match Attributes to
get the name values
Trang 9Concrete Grade
In RVT, if you want to mark
concrete grade values, It is
recommended to enter
them in Material or Type
Name. The format is
C+number, for example,
C15
RVT
Trang 10Naming Rule for Attributes
In RVT, it it suggested
that the name of the
same attribute should be
used only once They are
not case-sensitive For
example, Description and
DESCRTION are taken as
the same attribute It is
not suggested to use
them as two different
attributes
Trang 11Overlap Drawing
In RVT, for elements of the
same type and in the same
direction, please manage to
avoid overlap drawing
Once overlap drawing
happens, pay attention to
the warning messages In
other cases, overlap
drawing is allowed

Trang 12Use Proper Elements
Parapet wall but use slab opening
It is recommended to use
the correct elements in
RVT If it is a column, the
Column should be used
If you want to use other
elements, it is
recommended to mark
that in Type Name.
Trang 13Element Reference Floor
All vertical elements, i.e.,
Column, Wall, Door, Window
and Staircase and horizontal
elements, i.e., Beam, Slab and
Railing are required to be
modeled separately according
to floors They must NOT be
duplicated from the same
reference floor, which means
each of their reference floor
should reference to the
individual floor levels which
they are located in
Trang 14Purge Unused
Before submitting the
completed RVT project,
it is recommended to
click Purge Unused to
clear the unused
elements, thus reducing
interferences

If the axes are not

matched with
Secondary Axis
Axis Grid
Trang 18 In Revit, the gird is drawn with
Multi-Segment If just one
segment is drawn, it could be
shown correctly in TIO after
import See Fig 1
If you draw several segments in
one time, only the first segment
will be shown in TIO after
import, other segments will not
be shown See Fig 2
It is not recommended to use
multi-segment to draw grids
unless specially required If you
have to use it, please draw ony
one segment in one time

In RVT, slabs might be consisting
of multiple small panels which
can be drawn in TAS When
importing them into TAS, to
make sure they can be imported
as normal objects, the slabs will
be split into multiple small slabs.
