Planning For Installation

The HG-1500 system is designed to be as flexible as possible in order to meet your present

needs, and also to adapt as your needs change For the reason, we recommend that you read and consider the following information and plan your system before installing devices

Choosing location

It is important to try and place the Main Console in an area central to the alarm sensors

This way, all of the devices, can transmit signals with maximum efficiency The Main

Console must also be positioned and need a power outlet and telephone jack

About Passwords

This system provides two sets of password to ensure more safety and security You must enter the password in order to change memory data, such as pre-set telephone numbers; or to disarm the alarm system from the Main Console The " Install " password is used for general functions setting, and the " Master " password is used for setting “ Arm” or “Disarm”

Installing the back-up battery

Remove the battery cover on the bottom of the Main Console to install the backup battery set for

AC power supply to ensure security system in normal operation when AC adapter out of work

Trang 9

Setting Alarm Zones

Before installation, you shall have the sensors to obtain learning codes via system learning mode

of the Main Console This system allows to install maximum 63 transmitters of any sensors

3

About the Main Console

The Main Console is the heart of the security system It monitors the sensors and the responds according to how

it is programmed, whenever an alarm is activated The controls shown on the Main Console may look complex

at the first sight, however, most procedures are straightforward and easy Please review the illustration below

which labels all of the parts of the Main Console The following is a step-by-step guide for Installing and

programming the console

We recommend that you install and program the console before installing the other components (sensors) of the system This is to ensure that all of the components are working together properly

1 LCD panel : shows the messages and/or status of setting and operating

2 Armed LED : when the light ‘on’, system is armed; the light ‘off’ , system is disarmed

3 Power LED : indicates the power is on or off

4 Microphone : to record the emergency messages

5 Speaker : sounds alarm and plays back messages

6 Antenna : leave extended to enable maximum range of communication

Trang 10

between the detectors and the Main Console unit

7 Check : review the memory data and check recording message

8 Away : press to arm at “ Away ” mode when “ Master ” setting

9 Home : press to arm at “ Home ” mode when “ Master ” setting

10 Cancel : press to cancel the existing display and backward to last screen

11 Enter : press to program entry

12 Speed Dial : press together with ‘4’, ‘5’ or ‘6’ to activate 3-emergency dialing.’

13 Pause : key for turn on/off the chime for precaution in disarm status

14 Numeric keys and #,* keys : for telephone setting included pound and star keys

15 Help : one-touch button to trigger the system for emergency help

Install the Main Console

Remember the Main Console must access to a power outlet and to a telephone jack It also

performs better if it is in a position central to alarm sensors To Locate the rechargeable battery

(If incl.) to the back inside, when opens the back cover and connects the correct polarity of the

wires

TRIG – the output block to connect with the supervised system, as like the CCTV related

products

GND – the input/output block to connect with the ground

B+ - the output block to connect with the electrical power of DC 12V for the sensor

OUT – the output block to connect with the wired siren

GND – the input/output block to connect with the ground

The proper position to place the rechargeable battery

Mounting the Main Console

The Main Console may be set on a tabletop, or mount on a wall To mount the console on a wall, follow these steps

1 Remove the two top rubber pads and store them away for future use

2 Measure and fix screws into the wall so that the two screws fit into grooves left under removed pads

3 Open the back cover and set the console onto the screws and carefully allow the console to drop into the groove securely from inside

4 Connect all wire connection to the jacks on the back inside and replace to back

cover

Powering the Main Console

1 Locate the AC adapter

Trang 12

2 Attach the end of the adapter into the connector provided at the back inside of the console

3 Watch as the LCD screen while power on

Any function entry is to be worked within 1 minute, otherwise it will resume to initial screen and back to 24 hours alert

Connecting the Telephone Line

To correct the Main Console to the telephone line, follow these steps:

1 Locate the two phone jacks on the back inside of the console These phone jacks are

marked “ Phone “ and “ Line “

2 Connect one end of the telephone cord that came with the system into the connector

labeled Line

3 Connect the other end of that cord into the wall jack

4 Connect a telephone to the Main Console through the second jack

5 Replace the back cover and fix it securely

6

Note : If it is more useful to “swap” cords with your existing telephone This may be

desirable if you need a longer cord for one connection or the other

Setting the Antenna

Carefully extend the antenna upward in order to maximize the range of communication

between alarm sensors and the Main console
