PIEDMONT PLAYERS
→ Piedmont Players Theater (PPT) has been a Salisbury institution for more than 50 years, drawing audiences, volunteers and performers from up to 50 miles to be a part
of theater here in Salisbury Recognized by the North Carolina Theater Conference as the Outstanding Community Theater
in North Carolina, PPT operates two theatrical spaces; the historic Meroney Theater and the Norvell Theater, one of the only exclusively youth theaters in the state PPT produces ten performances each season, five youth shows at the Norvell and five mainstage productions at the Meroney
In December of 2014, PPT purchased Eastern Costume Company, the largest costume company in the Southeast, and moved the inventory of more than 40,000 costumes from Greensboro to downtown Salisbury Eastern Costume provides costumes to theater companies from coast to coast as well as rents individual costumes to the public for any occasion
