Located in Fallowfield Campus with its diverse community the area has an 'urban-village' feel and is well served by local supermarkets, restaurants and bars
The residence consists of eight blocks, each housing eight flats Each flat contains eight individual single study bedrooms
Close to excellent transport links to the main University and City Centre

Arrival We do not require you to inform us of your expected arrival time unless you are arriving out of normal
office hours Office hours are Monday to Friday, 0800hrs to 1800hrs or if you are arriving later than your booked arrival date Please refer to information sheet“Key collection for Richmond Park” for details of what to do on arrival

* Shower room, washbasin and toilet (toilet tissue not provided) are located within the bedroom
Each bedroom will be issued with a bedding pack (duvet, duvet cover, pillow, pillowcase and sheet) Towels and toiletries are not provided
Bedding Packs are free and students are advised to take it with them at the end of their stay
Students are responsible for washing thier own bedding and laundry
Communal Lounge: Communal areas available within each flat
Flats/Corridors: Approximately 8 bedrooms share one flat with single and mix gender flats
Kitchen/Lounge: 8 bedrooms share kitchen / lounge facilities Each kitchen contains;
Cooker x 1, Fridge /Freezer x 1, Toaster x 1, Microwave x 1, Kettle x 1, Iron and Ironing Board x 1
Each student is given their own kitchen pack which contains;
2 dinner plates, 2 side plates, 2 bowls, 2 food containers, 2 forks, 2 knives, 2 dessert spoons, 2 teaspoons, 2 drink tumblers, 3 piece pan set, 1 Wok, 2 mugs, 1 spatula, 1 serving spoon, 1 small sharp knife, 1 large sharp knife, 1 grater with container, 1 veg peeler, 1 bottle opener, 1 measuring jug, 1 tin opener, 1 tea towel - all contained in a box

Cleaning: Housekeeping will clean the kitchen and communal areas twice weekly but resident are expected to tidy up
after themselves Residents are responsible for cleaning their own bedroom and en-suite and cleaning kitchen after use – washing pots, pans and cooking utensils Residents are also responsible for removing rubbish and recycling to appropriate receptacles outside the accommodation blocks
Computer Cluster Located in Owens Park Reception and is open 24 hours excluding Friday & Saturday (2200hrs close)
Fire Alarms: Fire alarms are tested weekly and information will be provided to students in their bedrooms/ on arrival of
the day and time testing will take place All residents should familiarise themselves with the fire procedures and exit routes from their accommodation
Internet / Wi-Fi All bedrooms have wired access to the Ethernet There are a number of Wi-Fi zones within the Hall
Laundry The Laundrette is located in the amenity block Pre-paid cards can be purchased from a site vending
machine or alternatively you can download the App to set up an account to manage online
Repairs and
Maintenance:
Report immediately any loss, breakage, damage or failure of facilities and services online using your own computer or by using a computer in one of the many University computer clusters based on campus The link for Building maintenance is: https://bm.stars.manchester.ac.uk/ If you do not have log in details please report all repairs to reception
ResLife Team: The ResLife team are available in each hall of residence and are a team that can offer support and guidance
during your stay, whether your query relates to accommodation matters, safety, personal care or just helping you to settle in to life in Manchester The Reslife team are available outside of office hours and their contact details will be given to you on arrival and can also be found in your bedroom pack
Security: The University has a 24 hours security service Uniformed officers patrol the campus They are contactable
on a free phone telephone number 0800 838907 The University Security telephone number can also be found on the reverse of all student ID cards

Televisions and TV
Licenses:
If you watch or record Television as its being broadcast in your room in hall, either using a computer or a

Travelling: Travelling to and from Richmond Park to the University campus is very easy with public transport (bus)
travelling to /from the halls every 10 minutes to the campus and city centre Alternatively those preferring
to walk, the journey will take you 20 minutes

* Summer hall accommodation is not guaranteed and therefore students should apply for accommodation
as early as possible Where accommodation cannot be arranged through ULC, students are asked to make their own arrangements
