written applications will not be accepted Assemble the application in the following order:

1) Application Form

Complete this application The application form asks for personal contact information, course enrollment and academic record

2) Essay

Include an essay on the following topic: A Litton Leadership Scholar is a student who exhibits initiative, perseverance, cooperation, hard work and a desire for leadership How have you exhibited these

qualities in the past, and how do you plan to exhibit these qualities as a potential Litton Leadership Scholar in the future? Please limit your essay to 1 single-spaced page

3) Résumé of Leadership Experiences:

Submit a current résumé of education, employment, volunteer and leadership experiences This résumé should be no more than one typed page Include experiences such as organizations you have been involved with, leadership positions you held, and activities that you participated in Also, any awards or special recognitions you have received up to this time, and how you earned that recognition

Employment and volunteer experience should be included as well

4) Two Recommendations

Select two individuals to complete an online recommendation for you One should be your current academic advisor or one of your professors and the other is up to you (example individuals would

include a mentor, another university professor, leader in your home community, employer, etc.) Provide those individuals with the following link to complete the recommendation:

All application materials must be submitted at the same time as one document Application packets are

due Monday, March 15 Applicants will be notified on March 17 if they have been invited to complete an interview with the selection committee on March 22 or 24 The complete application should be emailed
