Trang 1December 14, 2020 Dear Theatre Maker,
Each February, the Rollins College Department of Theatre and Dance welcomes students
wishing to begin at Rollins the following fall to audition/interview for the prestigious Priscilla Parker Scholarship The “Priscilla” is $40,000 ($10,000 per academic year, renewable
annually) It is awarded to students who show exceptional talent in the Theatre Arts
We will host this February’s Priscilla Parker Scholarship Auditions in a synchronous, virtual
environment What does that mean? Auditions will be entirely online, but in real time

faculty and staff of the Department of Theatre and Dance cannot wait to meet you! Once we receive your materials, we will contact you to offer additional instructions and links
to the virtual space If you think you may have a technological obstacle, or lack access to a quiet audition space, we will work with you to provide workable alternatives Reach out to Alex Feliciano at afeliciano@rollins.edu for help In special cases, we will accept video

separate and contrasting monologues totaling two minutes Properties or costumes are not
permitted An interview will follow the audition

prepare one monologue and roughly 16-32 bars of one song Your monologue and song
should contrast one another and not total more than two minutes Properties or costumes are not permitted If you are a dancer, you are welcome to present a piece in the style of
your choosing, up to one minute in length in addition to your song and monologue (three
minutes total.) An interview will follow the audition

a hermetic world where faith, fervor, and fanaticism collide The LA Times calls Hutton
“one of the most richly humane voices in contemporary theater.”

This revue, compiled and devised by Rollins faculty and students, will highlight
women’s influence on musical theatre with a walk through the most American theatre

women’s impact on the contemporary American musical
