LMH Health Foundation is pleased to offer donor-funded scholarships in 2021 The program will
be administered in partnership with LMH Health Human Resources

Enhance the delivery of nursing care through career development in the nursing profession and to promote innovation in nursing care at LMH Health In 1998, Dr Bonnie Peterson accepted the position of Vice President/Chief Operating Officer at LMH Health
and retired in 2004 She also raised five children
It is the Peterson family’s intent to provide a scholarship to an LMH Health employee that is passionate about the nursing profession, in a leadership capacity, and wants to increase his/her ability to serve by furthering their education The ideal candidate is facing the challenges of
managing family, their profession and their educational pursuits

To enhance the delivery of nursing care through career development in the nursing profession and to promote innovation in nursing care at LMH Health Donna Osness served on the LMH Health Board of Trustees for 12 years and also raised five children while working as a nurse and school administrator It is the Osness family’s intent to provide a scholarship to an LMH Health employee that is passionate about the nursing profession and wants to increase his/her ability to serve by furthering their education

Leslie Riner Memorial Nursing Scholarship
Leslie Riner was a young, beautiful, inspiring and compassionate woman who passed away too soon Leslie lost her battle with Breast Cancer in 2013 She was 29 years old
Her love for life was best seen in the way she cared for her patients as a Registered Nurse Nursing was her passion and her gift Leslie dreamed about being a nurse since she was very young She dressed up in little nursing outfits when she was just a toddler
She reached her goal when she graduated from Emporia State Nursing School in 2007

Promote innovation in healthcare at LMH Health The Meyer Family Scholarship fund
was established in March 2008, through LMH Health Foundation
Provide two scholarships to the children of LMH Health employees who are pursuing a career in healthcare or have been accepted for enrollment at an accredited school This includes nursing programs, therapy programs, medical records programs, public health and administrative
programs
The LMH Health employee must have at least one year of successful employment at LMH Health, and their child must be enrolled in an accredited healthcare program, full-time or part-time
