2015 CONFERENCE SCHOLARSHIP

APPLICATION

“Harmony in Healing:

Blending the Art and Science of Counseling”

The Idaho Counseling Association will grant 10 (ten) registration scholarships for attendance at the ICA

Annual Conference from the following 2 (two) categories:

 2 (two) Graduate Students from each of the following Universities:

 Boise State University

 Idaho State University

 Northwestern Nazarene University

 University of Idaho

 2 (two) Counseling Professionals

The purpose of awarding scholarships is to encourage, not only membership and participation in the Association, but also attendance and participation at the annual conference In the event that less than 2 applicants from each University is received, the committee may choose to award multiple scholarships to another category

Eligibility—

 Graduate Student applicants must be a current student member of ICA and be currently enrolled in a masters of counseling program at one of 4 qualifying universities prior to application being submitted

 Counseling Professional applicants must hold a current ICA professional membership prior to application being submitted

Expectations—

 Scholarship recipients are expected to provide service to ICA over the year following

receipt of the scholarship

o Examples of service may include the following-

 Volunteer at annual conference

 Participating in ICA leadership

 Participation in ICA committees

 Scholarship recipients are expected to be present during annual awards luncheon to

receive recognition of scholarship

The annual ICA conference is an opportunity for counseling professionals and students to meet, share ideas, re-energize, and discover ways to improve their personal counseling skills and improve the counseling profession as a whole

2 What should ICA hope to gain by sponsoring you to participate in the conference?
