The following table shows details of our active membership according to the Wild Apricot

database As of October 16, 2015, PNC/MLA has a total of 158 active members

Total active members fall under one of two categories: active paid members and active

members whose renewal is overdue Active paid members are those people who have

renewed since December 1, 2014 At this time, we have 119 members in good standing and 39 active members whose renewals are overdue This is 5 more members in good standing than

we had in October 2014

Membership Renewal Drive

As we have in the past, we will conduct a membership renewal drive in December We plan to hold an “early bird” membership renewal contest where everyone who renews their membership

by December 31, 2015 has a chance to win a prize

The membership application has been updated to ask if individuals are AHIP members or not During the membership renewal drive, we will ask PNC members to update their profiles to indicate whether they are AHIP members

We will also ask new and renewing members what PNC committees they’re interested in

participating on It is suggested that the incoming Membership Secretary share members’ updated committee interests with the board and committee chairs so that more PNC members can be invited to be involved in the association

Free Student Memberships

Three free PNC student memberships were awarded in 2015 The recipients were Ashley Ehmig of the Emporia State University School of Library & Information Management program, Blake Hawkins, an MLIS student at the University of British Columbia, and Leslie Meyer, an MLIS student at the University of Washington

We are very happy that both Ashley Ehmig and Leslie Meyer are able to attend this year’s PNC/MLA Annual Meeting in Seattle
