private school located at luxurious Saddlebrook Resort in Wesley
Chapel, approximately 12 miles north of Tampa, Florida.
Saddlebrook Prep’s unique holistic program combines an
AdvancED and FCIS accredited, college preparatory academic
program for grades 3 through 12 with the world-class training
environments of Saddlebrook Golf Academy and Saddlebrook
Tennis Academy.
Saddlebrook Prep provides an environment that allows students

Trang 5Saddlebrook’s school was founded in 1993 as a public high school in a business partnership with the School Board of Pasco County In 1997, the school became private and was renamed Saddlebrook Preparatory School Situated in a highly secure gated community of 480 acres with well-supervised residential facilities for students from elementary to high school, the school very quickly began to draw student athletes from all over the world Saddlebrook Prep’s student body comes from more than two dozen countries, forming a multi-cultural learning community that lives, studies and trains at either the Tennis or Golf Academies, while preparing for college
Saddlebrook Preparatory School is proud to be accredited by AdvancED and the Florida Council of Independent Schools (FCIS) High-level academics characterize our college preparatory program which attracts student athletes from grades 3 through 12, who are instructed in classes with a student-to-teacher ratio of 10-to-1 For international students, we offer intensive English for speakers of other languages (ESOL) classes as part of the curriculum

Social Studies at Saddlebrook is multi-disciplinary and is focused
on developing critical thinking, research proficiency, effective communication, and problem solving In support of these values,
a wide range of social studies disciplines including world history, economics, and American government is supported and enlivened
by electives in psychology, law, contemporary history, and political science
Second-language classes at Saddlebrook include Spanish and French Emphasis is placed on the role of languages in creating cognitive cultural awareness, appreciation of diversity, and utility as a life skill, opening many doors to success Four levels of Spanish language education, Spanish 1 through 4, aid students to approach native-speaker oral and written fluency
Technology-rich learning experiences provide essential high-tech skills Mimio interactive instructional technology is available in every classroom Elementary, Middle and Upper School students employ their own laptop computers and utilize the school’s wireless network

and in small groups Outside of the ESOL classroom, in standard

support by our instructional staff and their peers Saddlebrook Prep

SAT/ACT PREP
SAT/ACT Prep is a one semester elective designed to develop test-taking skills, for the Scholastic Achievement Test (SAT), the College Board’s standardized test on which post-secondary admission is based
at many colleges and universities Students are assessed diagnostically
at the beginning of the Fall semester and throughout the course Students learn and discuss different tactics that relate to each of the sections, drills in math, reading and writing questions, and take practice tests to improve their scores During the Fall semester, full length practice test activities expand student confidence levels, lower distractions, and increase efficient use of test time The culminating activity is to register for the SAT through the guidance counselor An evening tutorial SAT/ACT preparation course is offered in the Spring semester

Goal Achievement Plan (GAP) is an annual planning process
that all Saddlebrook Prep students, from 3rd through 12th grade will
participate in The Student Planning Coordinator will collaborate with
the Guidance Counselor, Athletic Coaching Staff, Parents, Students,
and Academic Advisors to identify the academic and athletic potential
of each student athlete in their collegiate and professional pursuits
The Student Planning Coordinator will work with all stakeholders to
develop both short and long term goals for entrance into a variety of
colleges and athletic possibilities The GAP’s will be progress monitored
throughout the year to ensure that our student’s pursuits and goals are
focused on and achieved
College Planning is provided through the Guidance Department
Our Guidance Counselor meets with students, in the 9th through
12th grades, to ensure that college preparation and planning as
well as entrance requirements are met The primary focus of our
college planning program will be unique to each student and will
satisfy individual needs and goals For many international students,
the complexity of the documentation can be daunting, the testing
proficiencies challenging, and the language a barrier to understand
We facilitate guidance and counseling for our students in order for
them to gain admission to the university of their choice This process
brings all stakeholders together to create a blueprint for college
admission and achieving athletic goals

The Saddlebrook Tennis system is a comprehensive program that gives student-athletes the opportunity to work on the total game of tennis, including technique, endurance, competition, athletic performance, fitness, and mental conditioning.

management, competition, physical fitness and mental coaching.
