Muhlenberg College Public Health Affiliation with MPH Programs

Currently, there are two affiliation programs that offer students the opportunity to apply and be early accepted to graduate programs Applications to the Muhlenberg Public Health Committee can be found on the public health website.

Boston University School of Public Health Select Scholars Program

Students who are seniors and interested in pursuing a Master in Public Health (MPH) or other

public health related Masters degree in Boston and who meet the following requirements may apply:

• Public Health major or minor

• Minimum cumulative GPA 3.2

• Completion of Bachelor degree in May of the senior year

• No GRE requirement

Application Process:

• Applications to the Muhlenberg public health committee can be found on the public

health website and are due no later than September 15th of the senior year

• Students are required to provide one recommendation letter from a professor outside of the core public health faculty to the committee

• Application to BUSPH through SOPHAS must be completed by October 15th of the senior year

• Students who are accepted by BUSPH into the Select Scholars program will receive 35% tuition scholarship and are invited to attend a one week orientation in March of their senior year

Penn State Hershey School of Medicine/ PH Early Assurance Program

Students who are juniors interested in pursuing an MPH at Penn State/Hershey and who meet

the following requirements may apply:

• Public Health major or minor (or related) with intent to pursue a PH career

• Minimum GPA 3.5

• A grade of “B” or better in a statistics course

• GRE or MCAT greater than 50th percentile

Application Process:

• Applications to the Muhlenberg public health committee can be found on the public

health website and are due on April 1 of the junior year

• Students are required to provide one recommendation letter from a professor other than a core PH faculty

• Students who apply to this program and are provisionally accepted agree that they will not apply to any other graduate program

• Students who are accepted will be notified by June 1st of the junior year

• Accepted students must apply to the MPH program through the PSU online graduate application system by Jan 31 of their senior year
