Shirley McLeod Bachelor of Philosophy Scholarship (metro or regional)

This Scholarship was awarded for the first time in 2010 and made possible by The Shirley

McLeod Foundation, which commemorates Shirley McLeod, a former resident of the College whose life was tragically cut short in the second year of her university degree

Criteria

• Female resident who displays academic potential and embodies the pursuit of excellence

• Displays a strong sense of engagement in wider community issues

• Enrolled in UWA B.Phil program (preferable)

Value: $10,000 annually for the duration of studies

Residential Fogarty Scholarships (metro or regional)

These Scholarships support the residence of Fogarty Scholars at College Please apply upon receipt of a Fogarty Scholarship

Criteria

• Enrolled at UWA and recipient of UWA Fogarty Scholarship

• Displays academic potential and emodies pursuit of excellence

• Displays a strong sense of engagement in wider community issues

Value: (x3) $10,000 for three or four years, subject to course structure and

ongoing academic achievement

Residential Bachelor of Philosophy (Honours) program Scholarships (metro or regional)

These Scholarships support the residence of UWA Bachleor of Philosophy (Honours)

program students at College Please apply upon receipt of acceptance into the program

Criteria

• Enrolled at UWA and acceptance into the UWA B.Phil (Hons) program

• Displays academic potential and embodies pursuit of excellence

• Displays a strong sense of engagement in wider community issues

Value: (x3) $10,000 for three or four years, subject to course structure and

ongoing academic achievement

For residents pursuing

Academic Excellence

St Catherine's College High Achiever First Year Scholarships (metro or regional)

These Scholarships support High Achieveing First Year residents at St Catherine’s

Criteria

• A prospective resident with a 97.00 or higher ATAR

Value: $10,000 for one year

ME Wood Postgraduate Scholarship

This Scholarship was first established in 1996 when St Catherine’s became bequest

benefactors of the Estate of M.E Wood to fund this annual Scholarship Malvina Evelyn

Wood was an undergraduate of UWA, spent time in Crosby Hall in London, Reid Hall in

Paris and an International House in New York

Criteria

• An Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident, enrolled in postgraduate coursework

or research at a Western Australian University and accepted at St Catherine’s College

• Displays academic potential and embodies the pursuit of excellence

• Displays a strong sense of engagement in wider community issues

Value: $5,000 annually

Graduate Women Scholarship

• Female resident accepted at St Catherine’s College

• Displays academic potential and embodies the pursuit of excellence

• Displays a strong sense of engagement in wider community issues

• Accepted at any university in WA

Value: (x2) $4,000 annually

This Scholarship provides financial support to women students pursuing academic

achievement and excellence It is anticipated that the Scholarship recipients will strive

to make a difference to their community and engage in College life

Criteria

Residential College Winthrop Scholarships (metro or regional)

These Scholarships support the residence of Winthrop Scholars at College Please apply

upon receipt of a Winthrop Scholarship

Criteria

• Enrolled at UWA and a recipient of UWA Winthrop Scholarship

• Displays academic potential and embodies pursuit of excellence

• Displays a strong sense of engagement in wider community issues

Value: (x2) $10,000 for three or four years, subject to course structure and ongoing

academic achievement

Faculty Specific Scholarships

• Displays academic potential and embodies the pursuit of excellence

• Displays a strong sense of engagement in wider community issues

• Accepted at any university in WA to study Medicine or Law

Value: $2,500 per semester

These specific scholarships provide financial support to students studying Medicine or Law
