NM NASA EPSCoR

• This is an opportunity to propose a suborbital flight aboard a commercial suborbital vehicle funded by

the STMD Flight Opportunities program and is for research projects that are mature enough to design

a research experiment or develop research experimental hardware to the point that it can be flown in

a suborbital environment.

• ISS CAN $100,000 award-Suborbital CAN $250,000

• 3-year period of performance

• U.S citizenship NOT required, but access to NASA Centers can be limited

• The goal of the CAN is to establish research activities that will make significant contributions to

NASA’s strategic research and technology development priorities and contribute to the overall research infrastructure and economic development of the jurisdiction receiving funding

• This grant focuses on supporting literacy in science, engineering, technology, and mathematics for the

citizens of New Mexico Organizations can include astronomy clubs, museums and community organizations Program content can include demonstration and contests that promote the benefits of STEM.

• This workshop is open to all New Mexico full-time grades 6-12 secondary school educators Participants

will receive a free Sphero robot and will join their class as they learn how to integrate coding into the curriculum Participants will also be able to interact with NASA STEM education experts, as well as learn about other NASA education and funding opportunities to stay involved throughout the year.

• Workshop will be held virtually on July 20, 22, 27 and 29

• $400 stipend for completion of workshop sessions and asynchronous assignments
