There are eight circuit courts and this is the highest common law andequity court of record in Maryland The District Court handles claims thatinvolve landlord-tenant cases, replevin actions, motor vehicle violations, mis-demeanors and certain felonies The Orphans' Courts hear all matters involvingdecedents' estates and supervises judicially probated estates
