There are three main parts to this application, as set out below:
Part 1: Evidence Grid of Professional Activity
Part 2: Demonstration of Professional and Developmental Activities in
meeting at least two areas of activity and relevant core knowledge and
professional values in the Dimensions of Practice of the UK PSF and evidence for Descriptor 1 i-vi of the UKPSF
Part 3: Two completed References from relevant colleagues who are either
Fellows/Senior Fellows/Principal Fellows

We strongly recommend you integrate planning for your Associate Fellowship application into your annual appraisal, discussing the different elements with your line manager as appropriate It is important that you also contact the PASSPoRT Lead or Administrator, to help identify a relevant and trained Mentor ideally (but not limited to) in your
School/area, for support as a mentor prior to completing this submission

Your application must be accompanied by two references Referees should be
experienced staff who hold their own Fellowships of the HEA (as Fellows/Senior
Fellows/Principal Fellows) Referees should be able to comment knowledgeably, and from
first-hand experience on your academic practice, on your current role and any other
relevant activities you have recently undertaken Referees need to be directly familiar with your practice to validate the claims made in the evidence grid and in the written submission, as well as fully familiar with the UKPSF Referees must be able to
authenticate your practice as aligned to demonstrate the criteria for Descriptor 1: i.e
the referee’s statement needs to verify that your application presents a fair and honest reflection of your practice in line with the Associate Fellowship category HEA Fellowship
We strongly recommend each referees reads your application prior to
completing the reference.
It is usual for referees to be appropriately experienced members of staff working for a UK Higher Education Institution We strongly recommend you encourage your referees to read the D1 Guidance for Referees information provided for referees prior to completing the reference
