The Approved List of External Supporting Partners contains organizations that have applied to become partners in school improvement in the State of West Virginia as of August 5, 2010 Other entities can still apply

in this rolling application format

The descriptions of services the organizations can provide and contained therein do not represent any

preference of the West Virginia Department of Education Furthermore; the descriptions of services,

components of the plan of the provider, cost, or qualifications of the provider contained in this document are notmeant to be taken as comprehensive Should you wish to carefully examine the application of the provider or the submitted appendices, we suggest you either contact the provider or contact the Office of Organizational Effectiveness and Leadership to examine any Approved External Partner Application in detail to assure that youhave the pertinent information needed for your school or district to make an informed decision

We have included two attachments at the end of the list of Approved External Partners

The first attachment is for a provider you currently contract with and want to continue that contractual arrangement This vendor does not need to submit an External Supporting Application unless they want to offertheir services to other districts in West Virginia

The second attachment offers you the opportunity to add an individual you contract with to provide services

in your district

Development Affiliate The principle of the organization, Ms Taylor, has extensive experience in providing professional development throughout West Virginia and surrounding states She has completed the Advanced Management Program at Duke University and holds a masters from West Virginia University in Secondary Education She is certified in Life Success Consulting and Coaching The EdVenture Group recently has partnered with Pearson for the use of the “Who Took My Chalk” model in Pearson’s educational work

EdVenture contracts with staff to provide specific services that exceed the skill or time limitations of the

corporation

 Needs assessment includes perception, demographic and student assessment data along with data on school progress

 Focused training matched to school and individual participant’s needs

 Face-to-face visits

 Virtual follow-ups

 Ongoing assessments with customized rubrics

Ohio Currently working in thirty schools districts across the nation the field staff have a minimum of ten years experience in education and the management of the organization features experienced educational leaders that have a depth of knowledge in transforming low performing High schools
