This Business Plan outlines the objectives of the programs and committees within the Florida CCIM Chapter (hereinafter referred to as “Chapter”) having the influence and carrying the responsibility for the Chapter’s success, financial health and standing within the commercial real estate industry of the State of Florida The Chapter is well aware of its recognition by other commercial real estate associations; that of offering quality pro-grams and expert knowledge through education The function and activities of the Chapter support its Mission Statement through classes, socials, scholarships and men-torships
Attached to this Plan is the 2010 Executive Committee and a 2010 budget for the Chap-ter It is the goal of the Chapter to monitor and control every aspect of course offerings and socials, to continue and support the Scholarship and Mentoring programs and to re-tain and solicit sponsors for a successful 2010
MISSION STATEMENT
The MISSION of the Florida CCIM Chapter is to provide the highest quality of marketing and networking opportunities, services, and education that will enhance our member’s ability to conduct business successfully
EDUCATION PROGRAMS
The objective is to provide quality education programs that will keep CCIM members at the forefront of Commercial Real Estate and increase their professionalism, productivity and income by means of approximately 23 courses throughout 2010 comprised of CI-In-tro and Core Courses as well as several Technology and STDB Courses throughout the year
Trang 2MENTORSHIP PROGRAMS
The objective is to provide senior mentorship to individuals that are just starting their commercial real estate career:
Promote CCIM as the education designation for individuals beginning a career in Commercial Real Estate;
Provide individuals starting their Commercial Real Estate career, who are mem-bers of the Chapter, to have a mentor;
Mentors and Mentees will meet on a monthly basis to review progress and share constructive ideas
SOCIAL COMMITTEES
The objective is to network and socialize with sponsors, students taking CCIM classes within the State of Florida, and to socialize with other Commercial Real Estate Profes-sionals/Groups in order to maintain and facilitate business relationships within the com-mercial industry:
Plan, organize, and manage Socials within the Chapter Districts;
Create networking environments for all attendees;
Produce the marketing and communication for these events;
Coordinate with College Alliances;
Hold Awards Luncheons at end of the year within Districts
DESIGNATION PROMOTION
The objective of this promotion is to promote the CCIM Designation throughout the State of Florida through various media outlets, as determined by the committee
MEMBERSHIP & COMMUNICATIONS
The objectives are:
To increase the number of current and active members in the Chapter;
To promote and follow up with all current prospects who are interested in CCIM membership;
To develop, maintain and continuously upgrade effective tools to communicate with members, prospective members and sponsors and to use these tools to: (a) keep our members informed; (b) to enhance the Chapter’s exposure and
Trang 3reputa-tion in the Commercial Real Estate industry; and (c) to open communicareputa-tions with current members and sponsors
SPONSORSHIP COMMITTEE
The objective of this Committee is to provide an effective program that gives the great-est exposure and benefit to the organization’s sponsors by:
Seeking CCIM sponsors who have affiliated interest and would benefit from busi-ness generated from their association with the Chapter;
Establishing benefits that will give the sponsors the most exposure;
Conduct sponsor networking events to outline the benefits and to encourage the sponsors to utilize the benefits available to them;
To utilize sponsors as expert speakers at CCIM educational events; and
Encourage members to utilize the services of the sponsors
SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE
The objective of this Committee is to disperse information to the membership at large and universities about scholarship opportunities and to choose the scholarship recipi-ents
The criteria for awarding the scholarships are fairly flexible and the Committee reviews each application on a case-by-case basis Historically, scholarships have been awarded
to new members and those new to the industry where it is felt the individual will have a successful career in commercial real estate and will make a positive impact upon the Chapter and within the industry The Committee has also awarded scholarships to those who have most of the CCIM program courses completed as an incentive to complete the course work If the recipients do not use the scholarship funds within one (1) year, then the scholarship is forfeited
SPECIAL EVENTS
The objective of this committee is to identify events that would be of benefit to Chapter members, i.e., Golf Events, Wine Tastings, Breakfast Socials
CANDIDATE GUIDANCE
The objective of this committee is to help educate and promote candidates to finish their portfolios so they can be prepared to take the final comprehensive test to obtain their designations

Host a portfolio workshop prior to each portfolio deadline date
UNIVERSITY ALLIANCE
The objective of this committee is to forge relationships with all state university real es-tate programs to promote and encourage real eses-tate professionals to gain their CCIM designation and take the CCIM educational courses
RPAC- GOVERNMENT RELATIONS
The objective of this committee is to stay informed of government issues and report them back to the Chapter BOD and CCIM members on what is going on and how they can contribute To help the State CCIM RPAC Committee raise revenue by raising the level of education and understanding of the values of RPAC
NEWSLETTER
The objective of this committee is to obtain news from Chapter members into quarterly newsletter and then transmit quarterly to Chapter members via electronic mail
LEADERSHIP TRAVEL
It is the objective of the Chapter to invest and support the elected Officers to attend Chapter board meetings and Institute business meetings for the preparation of future leadership roles within the Chapter
