"most customer-centric company," functioning via three main basic businesses: Onlineretail, Marketplace and other, and Third-party sellers Amazon also targeted theinstitutional sector and consumers in order to create a new source of revenue: renting outits site-building services to other firms When compared to other Internet businesses,Amazon owes much of its financial success to the site-building and hosting servicesprovided to customers such as Borders and Toys R Us
