Have you not iced t hat when Windows Vist a prom pt s you t o allow a program t o t ak e act ion, t hat t he screen black s out ? This is t o show you t hat you are m oving to an elevat ed desk t op - where you will allow t he program t o cont inue and is a feat ure of User Account Cont rol (UAC.) This can be annoying but you can disable t his feat ure
To disable UAC screen black out :
1 Download DisableUACBlackout zip
2 Ex t ract t he archive

To re- enable t he elevat ed black out effect , double click on ReEnableUACBlackout reg

The Windows Disk Cleanup Wizard will delet e your
t em porary files, but only if t hey are over a week old To

Cleaning up Windows can be a t edious t ask as t here are
m any t em porary and unused files st ored everywhere Manual cleaning m ay be m ore t horough, but would t ak e hours Luck ily t here are t wo program s suit ed t o t his job The first of t hese t wo program s is t he well k nown
CCleaner CCleaner is a freeware syst em opt im izat ion, privacy and cleaning tool It rem oves unused files from your syst em - allowing Windows t o run fast er and freeing

3 3 Disable and Delete the Hibernation File
Windows places a file on your hard drive t hat st ores a snapshot of your com put er when your com put er goes int o hibernat ion; t his file is used t o rest ore what you were doing when you were last on your com put er If you do not use hibernat ion, you can delet e t hese files and save as

If you are sure you don’t hibernat e your PC (sleep and hibernat e are dif ferent ), you m ay disable t he feat ure as you will not need it To disable hibernat ion:
1 Click St art , Programs, and t hen right click on Command Prompt (or t ype into t he St art
m enu search box )
2 Click Run as administ rat or
3 If User Account Cont rol prom pt s you t o allow t he act ion, click on Cont inue
4 In t he Command Prompt window, type –

st art m enu search box and press Enter.)
2 If prom pt ed t o choose a drive, select t he drive on which Windows Vist a is inst alled and click OK
3 Disk Cleanup will scan t he hard drive and present you wit h a list of opt ions
4 Check Hibernat ion File Cleaner, and t hen click OK
5 When ask ed: Are you sure you want t o permanent ly delet e t hese files?, click Delet e Files
3 3 3 Enable Hibernation
If you decide you want t o use hibernat ion again, you can
enable it at any t im e:

m ay not want program s to appear on t his list for several reasons:
