Chỉ một thói quen, một hành động thường xuyên xảy ra trong quá khứ và bây
giờ không còn nữa.
Eg: I used to drive to work but now I take the bus.
2/ To be + V-ing/ Noun: Trở nên quen với He is used to swimming every day.
3/ to get used to + V-ing/ noun
I have always lived in the country but now I'm beginning to get used to living in the city.
2. Câu ước loại 2: Câu ước về một điều trái với hiện tại.
* Cấu trúc:
S + wish + S + V-QKĐ
Chú ý: - Động từ “wish” chia theo thì và chia theo chủ ngữ
- Động từ chính trong mệnh đề sau “wish” chia thì quá khứ đơn - Động từ “to be” chia là “were” với tất cả các chủ ngữ trong câu ước.
Ví dụ:
- He wishes he didn’t work in this company at present. (Tôi ước rằng hiện tại tôi không làm việc cho công ty này.)
- She wishes she were a billionaire at the moment. (Cô ấy ước rằng lúc này cô ấy là một tỷ phú -> Thực tế hiện tại cô ấy không phải là một tỷ phú.)
