- Asks Ss to do the exercise 1 independently.
- Has Ss compare their answers with a friend.
- Calls some Ss to read the letter in front of the class.

Reminds Ss how to use:
- a period + ago ( simple past) - for + a period (present perfect) - since + definite time/ simple past - Asks Ss to do the exercise 2 in pairs.
( This is probably an easy exercise so Ss can do it orally)
- Calls some Ss to read and explain their answers in front of the class.
