A The aims of the lesson

1 Knowledge

+ The aims: By the end of the lesson , ss will be able to listen for specific information

about quantities for food shopping

* Vocab: half a kilo of, half a dozen, cookies

one kilo > 2 kilos

* LF: How many / How much Can you go to the store for me? - Yes, what do you need?

2 Skills : - Practice listening, speaking, reading, writing.

3 Attitude: Help ss to have good consciousness in order to listen for specific

information about quantities for food shopping

Slap the board

- Put the new words on the board

- Call on 2 ss in both sides to the front of the class

standing at equal distance from the board

winner and gets a mark

translation and ask “what is this in English?” Ss follow instructions When all the English words are rubbed out, go

through the Vietnamese list and get ss to call out the

English words

Step 2:Listening: A3 P.117

- Ask ss to look at the pictures, speak out what ‘s the

name ss listen and answer of the food ( chocolates,

soda, cookies, toothpaste, soap)

by giving some questions “ what ‘s this? “

- Ask ss to listen and match the names of the people with

the things they want
