TO-INFINITIVE AFTER NOUN

Đây là dạng cấu trúc được biến đổi từ mệnh đề tính từ sang.Bài tập cho cấu trúc này có hai dạng :

1- ĐỔI TỪ MỆNH ĐỀ TÍNH TỪ SANG CỤM ĐỘNG TỪ NGUYÊN MẪU CÓ TO

-Cách đổi như sau:

+ Bỏ who ,which ,that

+ Nếu chủ từ mệnh đề chính và chủ từ trong mệnh đề tính từ

giống nhau thì bỏ chủ từ trong mệnh đề tính từ

+ Nếu chủ từ của 2 mệnh đề khác nhau thì chủ từ trong mệnh đề

tính từ đổi thành for sb

+ Bỏ các động từ can, could,must,have to (nếu có )

+ Đổi động từ thành to inf

ex:

We had a river which we could swim in

->We had a river to swim in.(bỏ which,we giống chủ từ MĐ chính nên bỏ luôn,bỏ could)

ex:

There are six letters which have to be written today

->There are six letters to be written today

ex:

The fifth man who was interviewed was entirely unsuitable

->The fifth man to be interviewed was entirely unsuitable.(bỏ who ,đổi was thành to be)

ex:

We have some picture that children can read

-> We have some picture for children to read.( children khác với we nên giữ lại ,đổi thành for children)

2- ĐỔI TỪ CỤM ĐỘNG TỪ NGUYÊN MẪU CÓ TO SANG MỆNH ĐỀ TÍNH TỪ

Cách này khó hơn dạng 1,cách làm như sau:

+ Thêm who ,which,that vào sau danh từ

+ Xem chủ từ của động từ to inf có phải là danh từ phía trước

nó không ,nếu phải thì không thêm chủ từ nữa ,nếu không phải thì thêm chủ từ vào.(chủ từ thêm vào thường giống với chủ từ ở

mệnh đề chính),nếu có phần for sb thì lấy sb làm chủ từ

+ Nhìn phía trước danh từ nếu có :first ,second, last,only thì không cần thêm can,must vào ,nếu không có các chữ đó thì thêm can,must,have to vào

+ Lấy to inf chia laị cho đúng

ex:

The last student to be interviewed was John

-Thêm who vào sau student

- Vì student là chủ từ của to be interviewednên không cần

thêm chủ từ nữa

- Trước student có last nên không cần thêm could ,must

- Lấy to be chia thì thành was

-Các phần còn lại giữ nguyên

->The last student who was interviewed was Jonh

ex:

We had a lake to swim in

- thêm that vào sau danh từ lake

->We had a lakethat

- Vì lake không thể là chủ từ của swim nên phải thêm chủ từ mới vào sau that(lấy we ở câu đầu vào)

->We had a lakethat we

- Vì trước danh từ lake không có last,first nên phải

thêm could(hành động swim không bắt buộc làm nên thêm

could )

-> We had a lakethat we could

Phần sau viết lại bỏ to

We had a lakethat we could swim in

ex:

Here is an application form for you to fill in

- Thêm that sau form

-> Here is an application form that

- Có for you nên lấy you làm chủ từ

-> Here is an application form that you

- Phía trước application formkhông có last, second nên phải thêm have to hoặc must(vì có ý bắt buộc phải làm đơn )

-> Here is an application form that you have to

- Viết lại phần còn lại

-> Here is an application form that you have to fill in
