Tổng quan về IELTS Writing task 2

Yêu cầu chung

Task 2 là phần viết quan trọng trong bài thi IELTS Writing, thường liên quan đến các vấn đề hàng ngày như Giáo dục, Công nghệ, Giao thông và Môi trường Các chủ đề này quen thuộc, và thí sinh cần đưa ra quan điểm và ý kiến cá nhân Để làm tốt Task 2, không chỉ cần có kiến thức về vấn đề mà còn phải biết bảo vệ quan điểm thông qua từ vựng và ngữ pháp phù hợp.

Phần viết IELTS Task 2 yêu cầu tối thiểu 250 từ và chiếm 2/3 tổng điểm bài viết, cần hoàn thành trong 40 phút Việc quản lý thời gian hiệu quả trong quá trình viết là rất quan trọng, vì nếu không tuân thủ thời gian, bạn có thể cảm thấy mất tinh thần và khó hoàn thiện tất cả các đoạn văn với chất lượng tốt nhất Do đó, phân bổ thời gian hợp lý và theo dõi sát sao tiến độ làm bài là yếu tố quyết định cho sự thành công.

Cũng như IELTS task 1, task 2 được đánh giá dựa trên 4 tiêu chí:

Mỗi tiêu chí sẽ bao gồm những yêu cầu, kĩ năng cụ thể như:

• Sử dụng chính xác và kết hợp nhiều cấu trúc trong bài viết

• Vốn từ vựng phong phú, đa dạng và linh hoạt

• Có tính mạch lạc và liên kết giữa các câu, sử dụng các từ nối phù hợp

• Hoàn thành được yêu cầu của đề bài, đưa ra câu trả lời cho những vấn đề được nói đến

Tiêu chí Cách đánh giá

 Đọc kĩ đề bài và cố gắng trả lời các vấn đề đưa ra trong đề bài

Cấu trúc bài viết

Mặc dù có nhiều loại bài trong bài thi IELTS Writing task 2, nhưng cấu trúc của các phần trong một bài luận có thể áp dụng cho hầu hết các dạng bài.

Phương pháp làm bài

Phương pháp viết lại câu

Phương pháp Paraphrase, hay còn gọi là viết lại câu, là kỹ thuật diễn đạt lại nội dung mà vẫn giữ nguyên ý nghĩa gốc Phương pháp này sử dụng từ đồng nghĩa hoặc cấu trúc tương tự để truyền tải thông điệp một cách rõ ràng và hiệu quả.

Cách 1: Dùng từ đồng nghĩa

Từ đồng nghĩa là những từ thuộc cùng một loại từ và có ý nghĩa tương tự nhau Tuy nhiên, ý nghĩa của chúng có thể khác nhau trong từng ngữ cảnh, vì vậy việc thay thế từ đồng nghĩa cần phải dựa vào ngữ cảnh cụ thể.

Việc sử dụng từ đồng nghĩa để viết lại câu là một phương pháp cơ bản và hiệu quả Tuy nhiên, khi tìm kiếm từ vựng thay thế cho từ khóa trong câu chủ đề, bạn cần chú ý đến nghĩa gốc và ngữ cảnh của từ, tránh chọn từ gần nghĩa mà không phải từ đồng nghĩa, vì điều này có thể làm thay đổi ý nghĩa của câu Để đảm bảo tính chính xác, bạn nên truy cập vào trang web https://www.thesaurus.com để tìm kiếm các từ đồng nghĩa phù hợp với từng ngữ cảnh.

Biến đổi giữa các từ loại là một phương pháp hiệu quả để viết lại câu Khi câu chủ đề chứa danh từ, tính từ hoặc động từ là từ khóa, bạn nên chuyển đổi từ đó sang dạng khác mà vẫn bảo đảm nội dung câu gốc không thay đổi.

Để dễ dàng và nhanh chóng trong việc chuyển đổi thể loại từ, bạn cần hiểu rõ vị trí của từ, nhận biết các dấu hiệu của các dạng từ, và cách chuyển đổi các đuôi từ cho động từ, tính từ và danh từ.

- Động từ thường sẽ đứng sau trạng từ chỉ tần suất

- Động từ tobe sẽ đứng trước trạng từ chỉ tần suất

Như đã đề cập đến ở phần trước, phần mở bài là phần đầu tiên trong mỗi bài viết và cần đảm bảo rằng:

 Giới thiệu chủ đề cần được bàn luận

 Trả lời câu hỏi được đưa ra ở đề bài

Phần mở bài nên có từ 2 – 3 câu, bao gồm:

Câu đầu tiên trong phần mở bài, được gọi là general statement, có vai trò quan trọng trong việc dẫn dắt và giới thiệu chủ đề của bài viết cho người đọc Để phát triển ý này, bạn có thể áp dụng một số phương pháp khác nhau.

 Đề cập về ảnh hưởng, vai trò, mức độ phổ biến và tầm quan trọng của sự vật/ sự việc/ hiện tượng

 Đề cập về mức độ quan tâm của công chúng, dư luận, chính phủ, quốc gia về sự vật/ sự việc/ hiện tượng

 Đề cập về bối cảnh hiện tại, xu hướng trong tương lai hoặc so sánh với sự vật/ sự việc/ hiện tượng trong quá khứ

• Giới thiệu chủ đề chung cùa bài viết

• Diễn đạt lại đề bài theo cách riêng mình (Sử dụng kĩ thuật viết lại câu)
