Trang 2Mục tiêu của việc dạy học theo các chủ đề tự chọn là nhằm:
1/ Bổ sung và khai thác sâu nội dung chương trình giáo dục bắt buộc làmcho chương trình giáo dục THCS có tính phân hoá và bên cạnh đó giúp học sinhlĩnh hội kiến thức để tiếp tục theo học ở bậc cao hơn
2/ Đáp ứng nhu cầu và nguyện vọng học tập của các đối tượng học sinhkhác nhau
- Tạo điều kiện cho những học sinh yếu trong học tập có thể nắm bắt đượckiến thức cơ bản của chương trình
- Trang bị cho học sinh bậc THCS có một vốn kiến thức nhất định để làmhành trang khi bước vào bậc PHTH
- Đặc biệt với môn học tự chọn đã đáp ứng được nhu cầu học tập của họcsinh năng khiếu
- Hỗ trợ một phần không nhỏ cho những học sinh không có đủ điều kiệntiếp tục học lên mà phải bước vào cuộc sống lao động
Xuất phát từ việc thực hiện chủ trương của Bộ giáo dục về đổi mớiphương pháp dạy học và dạy học tự chọn trong nhà trường phổ thông nói chung
ở bậc THCS nói riêng đã trở thành quy chế và cần được thực hiện ở tất cả cáckhối lớp Tuy nhiên thực tế việc dạy học tự chọn hiện nay vẫn còn là vấn đề gâykhông ít khó khăn cho mỗi thầy cô giáo và mỗi học sinh chúng ta Bên cạnh đómỗi giáo viên chúng ta chưa có được sự hướng dẫn cụ thể và học sinh cũng chưa
Trang 3nắm được mục đích, yêu cầu của môn học tự chọn từ đó dẫn đến các em chưathích thú với việc học tự chọn.
Nhằm định hướng một cách có hệ thống các bài học chủ đề tự chọn đốivới chương trình Tiếng Anh lớp 9 bậc THCS Điều mong muốn quý thầy côchúng ta có được một tài liệu tham khảo trong quá trình dạy học tự chọn cũngnhư giúp cho các em dễ dàng tiếp thu, củng cố, khắc sâu và nâng cao các kiếnthức đã học Đồng thời qua đó giúp các em tự học tập, rèn luyện và nâng cao các
kỹ năng bộ môn Tiếng Anh như “ Nghe, Nói, Đọc, Viết” thông qua các phương
pháp mà thầy cô đã cung cấp cho các em Qua ba năm dạy học tự chọn cho học
sinh, bản thân tôi đã nghiên cứu và áp dụng viết : “Tài liệu giúp giáo viên dạy tốt và học sinh học tốt chủ đề tự chọn Tiếng Anh 9” Trong một số chủ đề được viết, tôi xin giới thiệu chủ đề bám sát : “CELEBRATIONS”
Trang 4III/ CƠ SỞ LÝ LUẬN:
Như chúng ta biết, kế hoạch giáo dục của trường THCS ban hành kèmtheo quyết định số 03/2002/QĐ - Bộ GD & ĐT của bộ trưởng Bộ Giáo dục vàĐào tạo ngày 24 tháng 01 năm 2002 phân phối thời lượng 2 tiết/ tuần dạy họccác chủ đề tự chọn cho học sinh bậc học THCS và các công văn hướng dẫn của
Bộ, Sở, Phòng GD – ĐT về việc dạy học các chủ đề tự chọn Mục tiêu của dạyhọc tự chọn là góp phần thực hiện dạy học phân hoá trên cơ sở bảo đảm mặtbằng chuẩn kiến thức thống nhất, một phần dành cho việc bám sát, nâng cao kiếnthức, kỹ năng của các môn phân hoá , phần khác dành cho việc cung cấp một sốnội dung mới theo nhu cầu của người học và yêu cầu của cộng đồng nhằm pháttriển năng lực và hướng nghiệp cho học sinh
Xuất phát từ tình hình thực tế như vậy, việc dạy học tự chọn đã trở thànhhình thức dạy học có tính pháp qui, chúng ta cần phải nghiên cứu thực nghiệm
và triển khai ở mức độ hợp lý cùng với các hình thức dạy học khác nhau đượcquy định trong các Quyết định 03/2002/QĐ – BGD &ĐT và 04/2002/QĐ – BGD
& ĐT ở bậc học Trung học Việt Nam trong thời gian tới
Trên tinh thần đó, căn cứ cụ thể vào nội dung của tài liệu dạy học theo cácchủ đề tự chọn ở trường THCS môn Tiếng Anh khối lớp 9 Căn cứ từ thực trạngchất lượng học tập cũng như rèn luyện các kỹ năng bộ môn ngoại ngữ của họcsinh tại trường nơi tôi đang trực tiếp giảng dạy Bản thân đã đi sâu vào nghiêncứu các chủ đề tự chọn để giảng dạy cho học sinh khối 9 Thông qua đề tài này,tôi tin tưởng rằng mỗi giáo viên chúng ta sẽ có được một số kiến thức liên quanđến việc giảng dạy hiệu quả các kỹ năng bộ môn để cung cấp cho học sinh đồngthời qua đó giúp cho học sinh có điều kiện nghiên cứu sâu hơn về các ngày lễvăn hoá trên toàn thế giới Từ đó các em có thể hiểu sâu hơn về phương pháphọc tập và rèn luyện kỹ năng ngôn ngữ khác nhau và từ đó có thể lựa chọn chomình phương pháp học tập tốt nhất
Trang 5IV/ CƠ SỞ THỰC TIỄN:
Đây là một chủ đề tự chọn có tính bám sát, hỗ trợ kiến thức tương đối dễhiểu, chủ yếu dành cho học sinh đại trà nhằm giúp các em hiểu rõ được tầm quantrọng của bộ môn ngoại ngữ và giúp các em có một phương pháp học tập tốt hơn
và hiệu quả hơn Qua đó giúp các em có điều kiện rèn luyện thêm các kỹ năng
ngôn ngữ “ Nghe – Nói - Đọc - Viết” của bộ môn Tiếng Anh bậc THCS Xuất
phát từ tình hình thực tiễn như vậy các em sẽ có thái độ học tập tốt hơn và biếtvận dụng những gì đã được lĩnh hội thông qua các chủ đề tự chọn, từ đó tạo chocác em có một kiến thức vững vàng khi bước vào cuộc sống trong thời kỳ côngnghiệp hoá, hiện đại hoá và thời kỳ hội nhập Chính vì thế mà mỗi thầy cô giáochúng ta cần phải có một tài liệu bổ ích để giảng dạy cho học sinh tạo tiền đề chocác em ham thích hơn khi học ngoại ngữ và góp phần nâng cao chất lượng bộmôn Xuất phát từ cơ sở thực tiễn, nhằm để trang bị cho học sinh có kiến thứcNgoại Ngữ vững vàng, qua việc tìm hiểu một số vấn đề trong chương trình chínhkhoá kết hợp với việc dạy học các chủ đề tự chọn Bản thân tôi đã đầu tư nghiêncứu mọi tài liệu liên quan để soạn các chủ đề dạy học tự chọn bộ môn Tiếng Anhlớp 9 Qua nội dung các chủ đề tự chọn sẽ giúp các em dễ dàng hơn trong việctiếp thu, củng cố, khắc sâu và vận dụng tốt những kiến thức đã học vào nội dungchương trình sách giáo khoa
