Lesson 2: SPEAK AND LISTEN

I OBJECTIVES:

1. Educational aims: TV programs are informative Ss should update the news, knowledge and entertain

2. Teaching aims : By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to talk to their friends about the programs that they like or dislike

II PREPARATIONS: Book, cassette tape

III PROCEDURES:

1 Warm - up (8’)

- Show the picture, ask questions:

1 Do you like watching TV?

2 How many hours a day do you spend watching

TV?

3 What programs are there on TV?

- Look at the picture, answer the questions

music cartoon documentary sport news

weather forecast wildlife world

2 Pre - speaking (12’)

- Ask Ss some questions

1 Do you like watching news?

You like watching news, don’t you?

(Ask a real question)

2 Do you like watching documentary?

You don’t like watching documentary, do you?

(sure about the answer)

 Agree: I prefer/ I love…./ yes/ no

 Disagree: Not really/ I hate…./ I don’t like

+ Activity 2:
