Trang 7grade 5) are unable to communicate English sentences Basic and simple still exist a lot Many children can only babble a few words with incorrect pronunciation This is a worrying fact for the quality of foreign languages of students in junior high school, high school, and later on to learn foreign languages Like the students of the Town Primary School where I am teaching, many psychological students are shy and afraid that they will be criticized for wrong words, so they are not confident in communicating in English On the other hand, in grade 1, grade 2, English is an optional subject and only becomes compulsory subject for 3rd graders This is also one of the reasons for the quality of English teaching and learning of primary school students is not high
In addition, in the teaching periods, most teachers often focus on theory, providing vocabulary and grammar for students by writing new words, sentence patterns on the board for students to copy and translate meaning with little or no meaning do not use vivid visual methods such as: Organizing exchanges with many games, storytelling, quizzes This makes students can only remember words passively so it is easy to forget and can not be applied to communication style Creating a learning environment with many new flexible activities can stimulate interest in learning, knowledge will be naturally acquired without creating pressure or pressure on students

a Advantage:
Lam Son 3 Primary School was established 30 years ago, the school is located in Quarter 4 and is located near the center of Town, so it is very convenient for teachers and students as well as parents next to the house The school receives a lot of attention from the Party Committee of all levels, the Town Department of Education as well as the people and parents of students

b Disadvantage:
- English is a difficult subject for primary school students, especially for 5th graders who are at a very active age, in addition their limited outside exposure leads to them still not correct pronunciation
- Many students do not pay attention to invest in this subject, prepare the lessons in a sketchy manner During class hours, many students are still passive and not flexible in their activities, still afraid to communicate with their friends
Speaking activities are still limited, many of them have not yet practiced with their friends, and still rely on their team leaders
- Because they are primary school students, especially 5th graders, they are always giddy, so when the teacher introduces new words or new sentence patterns, they often forget very quickly, so when they are strengthened with a lesson A “chant” or a “song” will help them remember words and sentence patterns very well
In the way of learning chant lessons, it depends on many of their talents,
so it is easy to make it difficult for those who are not gifted, so they will not pay attention to the lesson, so when asked to draw sample sentences from the lessons chant, but they still do not remember, not bold when speaking
As we all know, English communication is of utmost importance and necessity especially with the development of today's society and the concern
of families with them, for students of the Town Primary School where I am teaching, although they are very bold, but some psychological children are still shy, shy, afraid of saying wrongly, they will be criticized by their friends, so they are not confident in communicating in English With the spirit of encouragement for them, I directed them to songs and rhythmic readings in body language to give them excitement to learn Because when each student can memorize a song "song" or a "chant" with fun movements, they will feel very interested in this subject, which helps them gradually become more confident in their communication continue in English and enjoy learning English a lot

Less English practice opportunities: Scope of English learning and practice is only available in the classroom That is why students feel that they are obligated to study, to get good grades, they are not aware of learning English
so that they can use them as a means of communication in the future
+ Limitations on time and types of games: Students in Primary level are still young, so their writing speed is still slow This is a major reason leading to the limited time that games can be held Besides, the game forms are not yet well organized Especially Primary students love to learn English integrated into games This is great because the teacher has partially done the job: Learn to play, play, learn
+ Low motivation and learning sense: English at Primary level is still an elective subject, so some parents and students are not aware of the importance of this subject Some students go to class because they must go up, but they do not have any motivation to learn Students who have not completed yet are very afraid to practice communication Because of slow learning ability, fear of wrong practice, and fear of bad comments from teachers A few others are good and good subjects, they are afraid to communicate, not because of their slow learning ability, but they are psychologically limited, afraid to practice in public
At this age, they are very eager to play, so their sense of learning is not high In addition, they pay very little attention to learning and are very lazy to learn, especially English vocabulary
On the basis of the above mentioned reasons, in the next period of the school year, I myself boldly made general adjustments in my classes
