throughout the world as pets, along with the Bengalese finch
and Java sparrow, the color and marking variations comprise
more than 5,000 species Wild varieties commonly have yellow
heads with fine black horizontal bars from the crown to the back
of the head Adults grow to about 20 cm in length and they
primarily eat plant seeds.
