Tính từ dạng so sánh hơn Trước hết, ta cần phân biệt khái niệm tính từ ngắn và tính từ dài. • Tính từ trạng từ ngắn là những tính từ có 1 âm tiết. Các tính từ này khi chuyển sang so sánh hơn sẽ thêm đuôi –er. eg: tall, high, big, large, fat, etc. • Tính từ dài trạng từ là những tính từ có từ 2 âm tiết trở lên. Các tính từ này khi chuyển sang so sánh hơn sẽ thêm “more” đằng trước eg: expensive, intelligent, diligent, etc. Chú ý: Tính từ hai âm tiết nhưng tận cùng bằng er, le, ow, et thì xem như là một tính từ ngắn. Lời rủ, mời ai đó đi đâu Cấu trúc của bài học hôm nay là: Let’s + go to + the + địa điểm VD: Let’s go to the swimming pool. Let’s go to the zoo. Let’s go to the cinema. Để diễn đạt ý muốn đi đâu đó, ta dùng cấu trúc với động từ “want”. S + want(s) + to go to + the + địa điểm. Với các chủ ngữ: I, you, we, they và danh từ số nhiều, ta dùng đạng nguyên thể của “want”. Với các chủ ngữ: she, he, it, và danh từ số ít, ta dùng dạng số ít “wants”. VD: I want to go to the toy store. She wants to go to the supermarket. They want to go to the post office. 2. Hỏi đáp lý do ai đó đến một địa điểm cụ thể nào đó Ta dùng “why” cho câu hỏi lý do: Why + do + you they danh từ số nhiều + want to go to the + địa điểm? Các cấu trúc thông dụng khi đi mua sắm Khi bạn vào cửa hàng, người bán hàng sẽ chào hỏi và hỏi món hàng bạn định mua: “Good morning afternoon. Can I help you?” (Xin chào. Tôi giúp gì được cho bạn ạ?) Lúc này, người mua hàng có thể đề cập đến thứ định mua bằng cấu trúc: “Good morning afternoon. Can I have a + tên món đồ” (Xin chào. Cho tôi xem cái này được không?) Khi đã lựa nhìn thấy món hàng ưng ý, ta có thể yêu cầu người bán hàng cho ta xem: “Excuse me Can I have a look at + that this + màu sắc + tên món đồ?” (Làm ơn cho tôi xem qua chút được không?) Để đồng ý, người bán nói: “Here you are” (Của bạn đây ạ) 2. Cách dùng this that these those Ta dùng this that với danh từ số ít, tobe là “is”. 1 Hỏi đáp về nghề nghiệp
Khi muốn hỏi ai đó làm nghề gì, ta dùng cấu trúc:
What + do/ does + S + do?
Bởi chủ ngữ là người đối diện (you), câu hỏi sẽ có dạng: What do you do?
Nếu muốn hỏi nghề nghiệp của 1 người khác, ta hỏi: What does + he/ she/ tên người + do?
Để trả lời ta dùng cấu trúc đơn giản: S + be (am/ is/ are) + a/an + nghề nghiệp
