GREETING AND CLASSROOM’S ARRANGEMENT

I Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will able to:

- know how to greeting when they meet someone fluently: Good morning, good

afternoon, goodbye, bye, teacher, pupil/student

- practice speaking to greeting each others

- express their concern to learn English

II Teaching aids: Flashcards

III Procedure

A.Warm – up:

Step 1: Greeting in Vietnamese: teacher and students

Sing a song

Ask some questions in Vietnamese:

- What’s your name?

- Where do you live?

- What will we say when we meet someone at the first time?

B New lesson

Step 1: Introduce some greeting sentences suitable to period of time of day:

- Good morning

- Good afternoon

- Goodbye / bye

- Teacher

- Pupil/student

Teach new words

Introduce how to read these words

Step 2:

Ask Ss to read after teacher three times

Call some volunteers to read

Ask Ss to read individually

Ask Ss to read in pairs / groups

Practice greeting in pairs:

- Teacher – student

- Student – student (open / close)

- Group – group

Step 4:

Call some volunteers to stand up and greet

Listen and comments

Correct the mistakes

Review how to greeting

I Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will able to

- review greeting, introduce the subject, review classroom’s rules.

- listen and do classroom’s rules

- express their love to learn English

A Warm – up :

Sing a song

B New lesson:

Step 1: Introduce the classroom’s rules

- Listen to the teacher / adult

- Listen to others

- Put your hand up if you want to speak / answer

- Respect each other

- Respect other people's property

- Take care of our equipment

- Bring the right equipment to our lessons

- Concentrate

- Finish our work on time

- Walk around the classroom and school corridors

- Be a good friend to everyone

- Follow directions from others

- Always tell the truth

- Enjoy our learning

Practice some themes in the book in groups:
