- read and understand the text about suggestion to go somewhere; write about

suggestion to go somewhere

- think about their own neighborhood and express their love of hometown

A Warm-up

- Get two pairs of pupils to go to the front class to say the chant Why do you

Lesson 1 – Part 1,2

I Objectives: By the end of this lesson, Ss can:

- Know the vocabulary about clothes (singular): T-shirt, shirt, skirt, jacket, jumper,

blouse, scarf

- ask and answer questions about prices of clothes (singular), using How much is the ?

- Express their concern about clothing and recognize the value of clothes

II Teaching aids

1 Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, computer

2 Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks.

III Procedures

A Warm-up:

- Have Ss sing the song Let's go

B New lesson:

Activity 1: Look, listen and repeat

Step1: Discover the picture:

- How many people are there in the picture?

- Who are they?

- What are they talking about?

Step 2: Listen and repeat

- T plays the recording and Ss listen and repeat once or twice

- Have Ss repeat in chorus or in pairs if necessary

Step 3: Share ideas

- Focus on the structure How much is the….? , lead in the new lesson.

Activity 5: Let’s play

Step 1: - Introduce the activity and remind pupils how to play the game Pelmanism

- Prepare some cards with images of clothing items and the matching words for the items

Put pupils in groups of six Give each group a set of cards (You may prepare one set

of cards and then photocopy them.) Each group should distribute the cards on the table, face down A pupil turns over a pair of cards If the cards show an image and a word that match with each other (e.g the image of a T-shirt and the word T-shirt), the pupil takes the cards and continues to turn over another pair of cards If the cards do not match, they should be turned face down again and the next pupil should have a

go The pupil with most cards at the end of the game is the winner

a buyer and a shop keeper)

Ss to role play using the cues:

C1: Excuse me, may I have a look at ……?

SA: Sure, here you are

Step 3: Work in groups to role play
