A The aims and objectives

1 The aims: By the end of the lesson , Ss will be able to make and respond to

formal requests using “ mind “ and make suggestions

2 Objectives:

a Language focus: Do you mind (if) ?

Would you mind (if) ?

b Skills: listening, speaking

B Preparation:

1 Teacher’s: Textbooks, posters, lesson plan.

2 Students’: textbooks, workbooks and other tools.

C Procedures

I Organizaton: (2’)-Greeting and checking attendance.

II Checking up and warm up: (5’)

: Jumbled words

- Write the topic “ Places of interest “ on the board

Ha long bay Nha Rong harbor

=> Ngo Mon Gate , Ha long Bay , The Temple Literature , Nha rong Harbor

III New lesson:

1 Pre-teach:

- (to) mind: ngai, phien, quan tam

- Revolutionary: cach mang

* Check vocabulary: Rubout and remember

2 Presentation Dialogues:

- Asks students to give some sentences from dialogue

-Model sentence:

S1: Would you mind sitting in the front seat of the taxi?

S2: No, problem

S1: Would you mind if I took a photo?

S2: Not at all

- Introduces more requests using the table on P 100

- Asks students to look and read, then write at home

4 Further Practice: Role play

- Asks students to use the situations in the book P 101 to

make the dialogue

- Asks them to work in pairs

S1: I want to visit the museum, Do you mind suggest one?

S2: No, I don’t mind There is a history and Revolutionary

museum

S1: Would you give me some information, please?

S2: Yes, of course History Museum opens from 8 a.m to

11.30 a.m and 1 p.m - 4 p.m every day but except Monday

S1: I can’t go there because today is Monday So I’ll go to

the Revolutionary museum

- Asks students to work in pairs, choose one place and make

the same dialogue
