1 Objectives:
By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to write a paragraph about advantages and disadvantages of television
2 Materials :
Textbook, blackboard, the suggested sentences, Ao paper (Crossword)
3 Anticipated problems:
Ss may find it dificult to find the main ideas in a paragraph
4 Procedure:
10’ WARM-UP:
- Greet Ss
- Introduce game: crossword
- Give out a crossword which has 10 horizontal lines and one vertical line
The word in the vertical line is made
of 10 letters in the 10 horizontal lines
- Give the definition/ suggested sentences of the words in the horizontal line
- Ask Ss to work individually and find what are words
- Give Ss 5 minutes to finish
- Note: all the words are learnt before
- The suggested sentences:
1 The synonym of “speak”
2 Mrs Tham is our…… teacher
3 The antonym of “like”
4 …… programs are shown on TV at 7:00 p.m
5 An another name of “Film”
