The table describes the trend of literacy rates in different parts of Sunshine country from 1994 to 2003

As can be seen from the data in the table, there was a gradual rise in the number of literate people in both the East and the West In 1994 the literacy rate was 50% in the East and 70%

in the West but in 2003 it increased by 95 % and 85 % respectively.This shows that the number of literate people in the East went up more sharply than that in the West On the

contrary, in the South this rate declined steadily from 50%

in1994 to 30% in 2003

These data suggest that more plans for education development should be made in these areas of the country , especially in the South
