Có ba quy tắc phát âm đuôi s/es cần nhớ thuộc lòng

• Quy tắc 1: Phát âm là /s/ khi tận cùng từ

bằng -p, -k, -t, -f.

EX: stops /s/ , works /s/

• Quy tắc 2: Phát âm là /iz/ khi tận cùng

từ bằng -s,-ss,-ch,-sh,-x,-z,-o,-ge,-ce.

EX: misses /iz/ ; watches [iz]

• Quy tắc 3: Phát âm là /z/ đối với những

từ còn lại.

Use: to express purpose

What for = why?
