I OBJECTIVES:

1 Education aim: Students can write about people’s background

- General knowledge: Help students write about one’s background

- Language: Words relate to people's back ground

3 Skills: Writing a one's background

II METHOD: Mainly communicative

III TEACHING AIDS: Textbook, chalk, board, some C.V samples

IV PROCEDURES:

1 Class organization:

 Greeting

 Checking the attendance

2 Check up:( 7’)

T calls on one or two students to go to the board to answer the following questions

1 When was Sally born?

2 Where is Sally’s home?

3 Does Sally live alone?

4 What does Sally do in her free time?

5 What does Sally want to be in the future?

* Expected answers

- Sally was born in 1980

- Sally’s home is in Manchester

- No, she lives with her family, her parents and two brother

- Sally likes swimming, sitting at home and reading

- She wants to be a sports (physical education) teacher

passed exams in English & Mathematics He graduated in

1992 He worked as an engineer from June 1992 to

December 1999 and he has been being a director since

then He likes music, sports and dancing.

Homework (2’)

- Get students read the form and get the important information to fill in

- Give some suggested question to get information

Ss read the form and work in pairs to have information

Ss work individually to write a paragraph about their partner’s parents with the information that they got in task 2

- Goes round and help.

- Check in front of the class

Ss exchange their writings

Ss go to the board to write their writings on it

Ss give the corrections
