LESSON 3 (4 - 6)

A AIMS

- Ss will be able to master how to pronoun the sounds /ed/ with /d/, /id/; /t/;

practice their sounds in with sentences

- Ss will be able to chant together

- Develop Ss listening, speaking and chanting skills

* Language focus:

- Vocabulary: revision

C PROCEDURE

I WARM - UP

Recite the chant: What did he do yesterday?

- Write some verbs -> verbs (past)

II NEW LESSON

1 Read and complete

- Have pupils open their books at Page 69

- Elicit the character at part 4

- Tell pupils that they are going to read the passage to get the information

- Pupils read the passage individually

- Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary

- Ask sts get information from the passage to fill in the gaps to complete the sentences given

-Sts do the task in groups of 4

- Get sts’ answer

- Give feedback

* Answer key:

1 Linda watered the flowers in the garden yesterday morning

2 She played chess with her father yesterday afternoon

3 She watched TV yesterday evening

5 Write about you

- Have pupils answer the following questions:

1 Where were you yesterday?

2 What did you do in the morning?

3 What did you do in the afternoon?

4 What did you do in the evening?

- Sts work in groups of 4 to ask and answer the questions

- Call some sts say about their work
