Lesson 4: Listening
I Aim:
- Teaching three monologues on how people would like to spend their holiday
- Teaching students how to answer True-False and comprehension questions in listening
II Objectives:
By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:
- Develop such listening micro-skills as listening for gist and listening for specific information
III Teaching aids:
- English 11 textbook, CD player, recorded tapescript
IV Anticipated problems:
- Students may forget the tips to answer True-False and comprehension listening questions teacher can help them recall the tips before doing the tasks
- There may be some technical problems teacher should be well-prepared
V Procedure:
Warm-up 5’ - Asks Ss to list the activities they often do in their
summer holiday
- Asks them some other questions:
+ Where/With whom/ Why do you often do that activity?
- Answer T’s questions
