- put SS into pairs

- Ask SS to read the paragraphs and complete the chart

- assign SS to give the answers

-Check the answers with the whole class

- draw SS’ attention to the tenses used in the report

-Elicit the answers to the questions similar

to the content in the chart ( textbook, p 168) -Put SS into pairs

-tell SS to write a paragraph about their hobbies

- go around to monitor the class and give help where needed

-When they have finished, get SS to exchange their writings with their neighbors’

-Call on some SS to read their friends’

writings one by one

-Get SS to listen carefully and ask some questions as in the chart to both check listening comprehension and make sure SS include necessary information in their writing

-Invite class opinions and make corrections

in front of the whole class
