- Develop such listening micro-skills as listening for specific information and listening for general information

- Use the information they have listened to for other communicative tasks

asks Ss to make some class

1 min - The monitor reports the number of

students in his/her class to the teacher

II Checking the old lesson:

- T calls on 2 sts to interview each

other about the way of using Flower

Telegram Service to send the greetings

card and flowers to his friend on the

birthday

- T gives comments and marks

4 mins - make a small conversation

III New lesson:

1 Warm- up:

- T asks the question: Which is the

quickest, a phone call, a fax, an

e-mail or a letter?

- T sticks some photos and their names

on the board and gets sts to match the

name with the photos: mobile phone,

pay phone, fax, telephone, phone box

- T checks the sts’ result

4 mins - answer the question: a phone call

- match the name with the photos

- observe and give remarks

2 Before you listen:

* Work in pairs:

- T asks Sts to discuss the questions on

page 105 pairs

- T calls on some Ss to give their

answers and comments on them

5 mins

- discuss the questions in pairs

- give their answers and comments on them
