A- Aims:

1 Objectives:

By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:

- write a description of a camping holiday, using the structures and vocabulary available as suggestions

2 Teaching aids:

- Blackboard, chalk,

- Textbook, lesson plan

B- Procedure:

I Organization:

- T checks the number of students and asks Ss to

make some class arrangement

number of students in his/her class to the teacher

II Checking the old lesson:

- T calls 2 Ss to complete the sentences on the

board using the suggestions

III New lesson:

1- Warm- up:

- T gives some questions then asks Sts to answer

them

1 What do you do in your free time?

2 Do you want to go camping when you have some

2 Preparing Ss to write:

- T asks Ss to open the textbook

- T gets Ss to read the activities silently and work

out which activity matches with which picture

- T asks Ss to work in pairs doing the matching

- T calls on some Ss to do the matching orally

- T checks the answer with the whole class

- T asks Ss to have a look at the pictures one more

to understand more

- T may provide Ss with some new words if

necessary

3 Writing:

- T gets Ss to plan their description according to the

suggestions at their desk, then compare and check

with a peer

- T goes around to check and offer help

- T collects some outlines and provides corrective

feedback T provides more relevant vocabulary and

structures if necessary

- T gets Ss to write their own description in 10

minutes

- T then gets Ss to exchange their descriptions in

pairs and do peer correction

- T goes around to offer help

- T chooses one description and reads it to the class

while other one S writes on the board

gives final comments afterwards T should draw Ss’

attention to the format of the description, the

organisation of the ideas and language use
