Aims: Helps Ss to write a personal letter telling about a past experience

Lexical items: Words and phrases used the words and structures that they have learnt in

previous lessons

Structures: Tenses

Teaching aids: Textbook and main information to write a personal experience.

II Procedure

2 Check the old lesson

1 Warm-up

Handout:

* Complete the following sentences, using the

adjectives in the box

proud, jealous, embarrassed, angry, sad,

frightened

1.He was very when his father appeared on TV

with the Prime Minster

2 He was very when his best friend went out

with the girl he really liked

3 He was very when he sent her a birthday

present on the wrong day

4 He was very when someone stole his money

5 He was very when he heard that his aunt died

6 He was very when he saw those big dogs

running toward him

- Guide Ss to fill the adjectives in the gaps to

complete the sentences about personal experience

- Walks around the class to help when necessary

and explain the new words

- Call Ss to answer the sentences in front of the

class

- Corrected answer:

- Introduces about personal experiences above the

sentences and ask Ss: When did you last feel?

1 angry? 2 surprised? 3 upset? 4 frightened?

5 jealous? 6 … ?

- Work individual

- Look at handout and answer
