I OBJECTIVES

Aims: Educate Ss to appropriate about the population in Vietnam and on the

world

- Guides Ss to know about the population in Viet Nam exactly

- Develop such reading micro-skill as scanning for special ideas and

skimming for general information

- Use the information they have read to discuss and practice the tasks

* Lexical items: Words or phrases to related reading

* Skills: Reading for gist and for specific information.

II METHOD: Integrated, mainly communication

III TEACHING AIDS: Cassette, tape, textbook, lesson plan

IV Procedure:

Warm-up

- Asks Ss to answer some questions:

1 Where can you find these scenes?

2 What does each of the pictures tell you?

3 Do you think that the larger in population a

country is, the stronger it is ? Why/ Why not?

- Calls some Ss to answer

- Gives correct answers

* Introduce the new lesson: Today, we are going to

read a paragraph talk about the population on the

world

- Listen and answer

- Answer freely

- Listen

Before you read

- Gives some new words and explains the meaning

on the board
