I Aims:

- Distinguish the clusters / str / - / skr / and / skw /

- Pronounce the words and sentences containing these clusters correctly

- Use relative clauses and omission of relative pronouns

Lexical items:

- Words and phrases related to language focus

Structure:

- Use these structures to solve communicative tasks

Warm-up

* Introduce the new lesson:

Pronunciation : / str / - / skr / and / skw /

Grammar: Relative clauses and omission of relative

pronouns

- Copy down

- Listen and prepare

Pronunciation:

- Introduce the sounds / str / - / skr / and / skw /

then asks Ss to repeat them

* Listen and repeat.

- Guides and read example once or twine

- Explains how to produce them

E.g: When producing / str /, Ss should produce / s /

first and then quickly switch to / tr /, and so on

- Turns on the tape ( or read) and ask Ss to repeat

- Asks Ss to practice the words have the sounds in

each column out loud in chorus for a few more

times

- Call some Ss to read the sounds and words in front

of the class

- Listen and correct

* Practice reading aloud these sentences.

- Read the sentences once time and ask Ss to practice

them

- Asks Ss to underline the words containing the

target sounds / str / - / skr / and / skw /

- Walks around to listen and takes notes of the

As relative pronouns make object in defining/

restrictive relative clauses We can omiss it

Example:

+ The book which/ that I'm reading is one of

Shakespears

= The book I'm reading is one of Shakespears

On the contrary, relative pronouns make object in

non-defining/ non-restrictive relative clauses.We

can't omiss it

Example:

-Listen to the teacher carefully

+ The student whom/ that you are meet

in the library is my class's prefect

= The student you are meet in the library

is my class's prefect

- Study This book, which you recommended to
