- Ask students to look at the first picture in the book

and ask them some questions:

o What party is it?

- Ask students to look at the second picture and ask

some questions:

o What are they celebrating?

o How old are the people in the picture?

o How do they feel?

o How long have they been married?

 The lesson today gives us some information about

birthday and wedding anniversaries in the US

a) Task 1:Read and Tick

- gets Ss to read the passage silently and do Task 1

- place a pack of cards on the desk, face down

- Assign one representative from each group to take

turns to choose a card at random

- One correct word earns one point

- The group with more points wins
