A Aims:

1.Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:

-Develop such listening micro-skills as intensive listening for specific information

- Summarize the listening text while listening

2.Teaching aids:

- blackboard, chalk

- cassette, tape

- textbook, lesson plan

B Procedures:

I Organization:

- T checks the number of students

and asks Ss to make some class

arrangement

1 min - The monitor reports the number

of students in his/her class to the teacher

II Checking the old lesson:

- T calls 2 sts to interview each other

about how to organize the best party

- T gives comments and marks

5 mins - interview each other about how to

organize the best party

III New lesson:

1 Warm- up:

- T divides the class into groups of

10, explains how to play the game

and then lets sts play the game

- T calls on the representative of

each group to come to the board and

write their list

- T gets the whole class to count and

which group has more words wins

- T declares the winner and leads Ss

to the new lesson

4 mins - play the game in groups

Groups generate as many words related to birhtdays and birthday parties as possible in 3 minutes.
