figure (75 millions tons) This was

followed by the consumption of

petroleum (50 millions tons) Coal

made up the smallest amount of

energy consumption (45 millions tons)

of the trends in energy consumption in 2005

amount of petroleum consumed in

2005 fell by 7 million tons
