 Time allotted: 45 minutes

 Aims:

+ to help students practice listening skill (for gist and for specific information)

+ to help students familiarize more with the tasks of multiple choice question and comprehension question

 Objective: by the end of the lesson, the students are able to make a sport report through

using some vocabulary relating to the topic “The Asian Games”

 Lexical items: freestyle (n), bar (n), land (v), gymnasium (n), gymnast (n)

 Teaching aids: blackboard, textbook, posters, hand out, tape, cassette, etc

- Give instruction: “There are 5 words relating to

dục” in English? (translation)

+ gymnasium (n): “This is the room with the

equipment for the gymnast to practice physical

exercises” (explanation)

+ bar (n) “What is this?” (realia)

- Ask students to copy

- Check students’ understanding and memory of the

new words: Rub out and remember

 Brainstorming: (3’)

- Ask students to name some kinds of sport in the

Asian Games:
