A Objectives:

* Knowledge: - Students can practise reading for gist and specific information about the history of

- Students can use some vocabulary relating to sports and sports events to read and talk about the topic

B Preparation for the lesson:

* Teacher’s preparation: Textbook, projector, posters and cassette

* Students’ preparation : Textbooks, posters, preparation of old lesson and new lesson

C Teaching methods: Communicative approach

D Procedure:

I Stabilization: Teacher greets and students response

II Check up: (5’) Rewrite the sentences using participles or to infinitives
