I OBJECTIVES

1 Educational aim : To help Students should contribute their parts to the protect of the natural environment.

2 knowledge :

- Genereal knowledge : Ss learn about the functions of ecotourism and about how to protect and save the natural environment

- Language : Sentences and expressing opinion and making suggestions about nature conservation

3 Skills : Fluency in expressing opinionand making suggestions about nature conservation.

- By the end of the lesson Sts should be able to: ask for someone’s opinions, and show their agreement or disagreement about the new kind of zoo

- Talk about the advantages and disadvantages of the new kind of zoo

- Report on discussion results

II METHOD: Communicative approach.

III TEACHING AIDS: - Textbook, chalkboard.

1 Checking attendance

2 Checking the previous lesson: (5’) Vocabulary

3 The new lesson

WARM UP (7’)

+ What can you see in the first picture?

+ Is the animal in the first picture free to run?

+ How might the animal feel?

+ What can you see in the second picture?

+ Are the animals in the picture two free to run?

+ How might the animals feel?

T: Asks Sts some questions.

Ss: Answer the teacher’s questions.

- T asks some pairs to present their answers

- T gives feedback on Ss’ answers

- T introduces the new lesson: You are going

to discuss the new kind of zoo.

PRE – SPEAKING (7’) Task 1: Discussing the questions about the features of

the new kind of zoo

Instruction : You are required to work in pairs to put the

actions in the order of importance and then say what we

should or shouldn’t do

+ sensitive (adj) quick to respond to, or be affected by slight

changes, signals(nhạy cảm)

+ imprison (v) put keep in prison.

+ reconstruct (v) build again

+ breed (v) cause (an animal) to produce offspring (Gây

giống, nhân giống)

+ reintroduce ( v) put ( a species of animal or plant) back

into a former habitat (đưa về môi trường sống tự nhiên)

* Answers:

1 They are opened to help endangered species develop.

2 The animals are not kept in cages They can live in their

natural environment.

- T asks Ss to read through the two paragraphs

Instruction: Following are some ideas about the new kind

of zoo discussed in task 1 You are required to show your

agreement or disagreement by ticking the right box Then

Instruction: You are going to discuss the advantages and

disadvantages of the new kind of zoo using the cues

provided in the textbook.

Ss1: I think zoos of the new kind are very good for animals.

Ss2: I can’t agree with you more But it is very expensive to

reconstruct animals’ natural environment.

Ss1: I suppose you are right However, animals in the zoos

of the new kind can live better.

Ss2: Maybe you are right.

- Before Ss do the task, T elicits or introduces

some structures Ss can use to ask for someone’s opinions, to give their opinions, and show their agreement or disagreement politely:

- T corrects any typical mistakes

HOMEWORK (2’) - Asks Ss to practice reporting what they

discussed at home
